Unexpected Things You Should Try in Boracay (That Ended Up Being My Favorite Memories)
1. Learn Windsurfing
This wasn't even on my itinerary.
I accidentally booked a hotel on Bulabog Beach instead of White Beach, and that "mistake" introduced me to one of the most fun activities of my trip. Even if you only take one or two lessons, it's such a rewarding experience.
Travel tip: Book directly with one of the windsurfing schools on Bulabog Beach instead of through middlemen if you want the best price.

2. Get Your Nails Done
This sounds random...
…but trust me.
I arrived in Boracay with a fresh gel manicure that had cost me a small fortune.
Two days later?
It chipped.
Since I spend so much time in the ocean, I figured I'd simply get my nails redone.
It turned out to be one of the best manicures I've ever had.
My cuticles looked incredible, the polish lasted beautifully despite constant swimming, and the service was fantastic.
I definitely wasn't expecting a nail salon to become one of my favorite discoveries on the island.
(You could even link to the nail salon if you remember its name.)
3. Get a Massage
You'll find massage places literally everywhere.
Every few minutes you'll walk past another spa offering affordable massages.
After long walks on the beach, island hopping, snorkeling, or windsurfing, a relaxing massage feels absolutely amazing.
It's one of those simple experiences that quickly becomes part of your daily routine.
4. Treat Yourself at Tirta Spa
If you're only going to splurge on one spa experience...
Make it Tirta Spa.
The flower bath.
The sound healing.
The beautiful Balinese-inspired setting.
Everything about the experience feels luxurious and incredibly peaceful.
It was easily one of the highlights of my trip.

5. Buy Tropical Fruit from D'Mall
This became one of my favorite evening rituals.
I'd stop by the fruit market near D'Mall, buy fresh mangoes, dragon fruit, mangosteen, pineapple—whatever looked good that day—and then enjoy it either on the beach during sunset or on my hotel balcony while listening to the sound of the waves.
Sometimes the simplest moments become the ones you remember most.
6. Wake Up for Sunrise on Bulabog Beach
I actually think this is the perfect sixth one because it's unique to your experience.
Bulabog Beach, 2026
Most visitors spend every evening watching the famous sunsets on White Beach.
They're beautiful.
But very few people wake up early enough to see the sunrise on Bulabog Beach.
Watching dozens of colorful kites preparing for the day while the sun slowly rises over the water creates an entirely different atmosphere.
It's peaceful.
Quiet.
And one of my favorite memories from Boracay.
Bring a Piece of Boracay Home

If this incredible island holds a special place in your heart, I invite you to explore my Boracay Fine Art Print Collection, where you'll find museum-quality prints featuring the island's beaches, tropical scenery, and unforgettable coastal landscapes.
Whether you're looking for artwork to remember your own trip or simply love tropical destinations, I hope these photographs bring a little piece of Boracay into your home.
