The Best Ice Cream & Desserts in Boracay (2025–2026): My Honest Review

When people think about Boracay, they usually imagine powdery white sand, crystal-clear turquoise water, and breathtaking sunsets. While all of that is absolutely true, there's another thing you'll quickly notice after spending a few days on the island—you'll constantly be craving something cold.

Boracay is hot. Really hot.

Coco Mama. Boracay, 2026

After hours of walking along White Beach, swimming in the ocean, or exploring D'Mall, stopping for an ice cream or a refreshing dessert almost becomes part of your daily routine. Luckily, the island is filled with dessert shops, smoothie spots, mango ice creams, coconut treats, and beautifully presented sweets that are just as photogenic as they are delicious.

One thing I genuinely appreciated was that many of these businesses also make an effort to be environmentally friendly. Instead of serving desserts in plastic containers, several places use coconut shells, paper cups, or other more sustainable packaging, which feels like a thoughtful choice on such a beautiful tropical island.

Now, before we begin, I should probably confess something—I am not the biggest ice cream lover. I enjoy sweets from time to time, but I'm definitely not someone who goes searching for desserts every day. That also means these reviews come from someone who isn't easily impressed by ice cream alone. Everything below is simply my personal opinion after visiting Boracay in both 2025 and 2026. None of these places sponsored this article, and you may end up loving a place that wasn't necessarily my favorite.

Coco Mama – ★★★★☆ (8/10)

Location: D'Mall Avenue, Boracay, 5608 Aklan, Philippines

Coco Mama. Boracay, 2026

Let's start with my favorite.

I first visited Coco Mama during my 2025 trip after seeing countless people carrying their famous coconut bowls around D'Mall. The dessert immediately stood out because it wasn't just another cup of ice cream—it was served inside an actual coconut shell, making it feel perfectly tropical.

My bowl came with creamy coconut ice cream, another scoop of ice cream, fresh mango, and delicious toppings that all worked surprisingly well together. Everything tasted fresh without being overwhelmingly sweet, and I immediately understood why this place had become so popular.

When I returned to Boracay in 2026, Coco Mama was one of the first places I wanted to revisit. The first thing I noticed was that the line had become significantly longer than the year before, which tells me that more and more people are discovering it. Thankfully, the quality was just as good as I remembered.

If you're only planning to try one dessert in Boracay, this would be my recommendation.

My rating: 8/10

Mango Mama – ★★★★☆ (7/10)

Location: Near White Beach, D'Mall, Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan, Philippines

Another place that I really enjoyed was Mango Mama.

Like many dessert spots in Boracay, the presentation was beautiful and colorful, making it almost impossible not to take a photo before digging in. I ordered a dessert with two different ice cream flavors, and everything tasted fresh and refreshing after spending time under the tropical sun.

While it didn't quite beat Coco Mama for me, I definitely enjoyed it and would happily order it again during another trip.

My rating: 7/10

Ube Mama – ★★★☆☆ (6.5/10)

Location: Palengke, D'mall de Boracay, Boracay, 5608 Aklan, Philippines

Unlike most of the places on this list, I didn't stop here because I had seen people recommending it online.

I actually noticed it because there was a sign outside mentioning that it had been recommended by Esquire. Naturally, that made me curious enough to give it a try.

The presentation was beautiful. My dessert was topped with delicate purple strands that made it look incredibly elegant and very Instagram-worthy. Visually, it was probably one of the prettiest desserts I tried during my stay.

Taste-wise, however, it didn't quite live up to the presentation. The purple topping didn't add much flavor for me, and while the ice cream itself was perfectly good, it wasn't particularly memorable.

Would I stop by again if I happened to be nearby? Sure.

Would I specifically go out of my way just to have it again? Probably not.

Still, if you're someone who enjoys beautifully presented desserts, you'll probably love taking photos here.

Halo Mango – ★★★☆☆ (6.5/10)

Location: D'Mall, Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan, Philippines

Halo Mango. Boracay, 2026

Halo Mango is probably one of the most recognizable dessert spots in Boracay, largely thanks to its adorable mango soft serve topped with little edible eyes.

To be completely honest...

Those eyes were the entire reason I wanted to visit.

I'm definitely someone who falls for cute presentation, and when I kept seeing people walking around with these funny-looking ice creams, I knew I had to try one myself.

Unfortunately, when I visited in 2025, they had completely run out of the famous eyes. I still ordered the ice cream, but I left feeling a little disappointed because I didn't get the full experience I had imagined.

When I came back to Boracay in 2026, I decided to give Halo Mango another chance. This time they finally had the eyes in stock, and I was excited to see what all the hype was about.

Ironically, I realized that I hadn't really missed much the first time.

The eyes looked adorable, but they barely had any flavor. They also left a slightly oily feeling in my mouth, almost as if they were made with coconut oil or another edible fat. They were fun for photos but didn't really add anything to the dessert itself.

The mango soft serve was perfectly decent and refreshing, but overall it wasn't something I'd specifically crave again.

My rating: 6/10

Happy State of Mind – ★★★☆☆ (6.5/10)

Location: D'Mall, Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan, Philippines

Happy State of Mind. Boracay, 2026

Located almost directly across from Coco Mama, Happy State of Mind immediately catches your attention with its colorful interior and cheerful atmosphere.

It's one of those places that feels like it was designed with Instagram in mind. The décor is adorable, there are comfortable places to sit, and when I visited in January 2026 they even had happy hour specials.

I ordered one of their signature desserts topped with fluffy cotton candy because, honestly, it looked absolutely beautiful.

The presentation was incredible.

The taste was... good.

The only problem was that there were simply too many flavors happening at once. Everything together became a little overwhelming, and I found myself unable to finish the dessert simply because it became too sweet for my personal taste.

That being said, if you absolutely love extravagant desserts loaded with toppings, you may enjoy it much more than I did.

My rating: 6/10
