Pink Coco Uluwatu: Why I Came Back (and Why You Might Want To)
Some places just stay with you. You leave, time passes, you travel more… and somehow you keep thinking about that one hotel. For me, that place is Pink Coco Uluwatu – Cool Adults Only.
This year marked my second stay at Pink Coco, and coming back felt incredibly special—because I wasn’t booking it out of convenience anymore. I was booking it because I genuinely fell in love with it the first time.
How I Found Pink Coco (Without Really Knowing Bali)
When I first booked Pink Coco last year, I’ll be honest: I knew nothing about Bali. No neighborhoods, no zones, no deep research. I’m not the traveler who spends weeks studying maps and blogs. I opened a booking website, zoomed in on a beach that looked good to me, and searched for hotels nearby.
Pink Coco popped up.
I liked the location. I liked the photos. And yes—we all know photos don’t always tell the full story. I booked it with zero expectations.
Fast forward to arrival day: about a 40-minute drive from Ngurah Rai (Denpasar) Airport, winding through Uluwatu roads… and then suddenly—you arrive.
First Impressions: Color, Design, and Instant Mood Lift
Pink Coco is insanely beautiful.
The hotel is unapologetically pink, surrounded by lush greenery, tropical plants, and vibrant colors everywhere you look. The design is bold, playful, and joyful—but still elegant and calming. In Bali’s tropical climate, the colors feel even richer and more alive.
The moment you step onto the property, your mood shifts. It’s impossible not to feel lighter, happier, and relaxed.
My Room: Pool View, Balcony, and Nature Vibes
I stayed in a first-floor room with a private balcony overlooking the pool, and it was perfect.
A few steps from the pool
A private balcony to lounge during the day
Peaceful, quiet, and incredibly comfortable
The room itself was beautiful, but what I loved most was how connected it felt to nature. The design allows fresh air and tropical sounds in, rather than sealing you off from the environment. It felt immersive, not isolated.
The bathroom was spacious, the shower was amazing, and everything was spotless. The bed? Top-notch. Extremely comfortable. Honestly, I didn’t spend much time in the room beyond sleeping—but every night’s sleep was perfect.
This is the actual room tour of the place where I stayed. No staged photos, no wide-angle tricks—just the real room exactly as it was during my stay. Judge for yourself, but I honestly think it’s amazing. From the balcony overlooking the pool to the open, nature-connected design and the incredibly comfortable bed, everything felt thoughtful, beautiful, and relaxing. It’s one of those rooms where you immediately feel at ease the moment you walk in.
Breakfast Done Right (No Buffets Here)
One of the things I really appreciated: no buffet breakfast.
Instead, Pink Coco offers a menu-style breakfast, which I personally love. You choose:
One main dish
Unlimited appetizers
Coffee, tea, and drinks
The menu is extensive and inclusive:
Vegan options
Meat and fish
Dairy and non-dairy
Sweet and savory
I tried several dishes over my stay, and every single one was delicious. Quality, presentation, and flavor were consistently excellent.
Service That Actually Feels Personal
The service deserves a special mention.
The staff genuinely cares. You can feel that they’re trying to make your stay special—not because it’s their job, but because they want to. Little surprises throughout the stay made it even more memorable:
Cookies or ice cream treats during the day
Thoughtful gestures in the evenings
Warm, discreet, professional service at all times
Nothing felt forced. Everything felt natural and kind.
Spa, Treatments, and Special Experiences
Pink Coco also offers excellent add-ons, and I took full advantage of them.
Spa on-site: I did a full body scrub, massage, and nail service—and was extremely happy with all of it
Guest discounts at the spa (a great bonus)
Floating experience: I booked a floating dinner instead of breakfast for my birthday
That floating dinner was unforgettable—shrimp, champagne, desserts, beautifully arranged, and surprisingly reasonably priced. A perfect celebration moment.
Location: Walkable, Lively, and Perfectly Balanced
The hotel is located about 10 minutes from Padang Padang Beach, which was one of the main reasons I booked it initially—and it did not disappoint.
Around the hotel, you’ll find:
Fantastic restaurants with amazing food
Cute boutiques and shops selling jewelry, clothes, and souvenirs
Cafés, small local spots, and plenty of dining options
The area feels lively but not chaotic. You have everything nearby, yet the hotel itself remains peaceful and quiet.
Final Thoughts: Would I Recommend Pink Coco?
Absolutely. Without hesitation.
Pink Coco is:
Clean, quiet, and beautifully maintained
Stylish without being pretentious
Relaxed, fun, and full of positive energy
Perfect for solo travelers, couples, friends, or even family trips
If you’re looking to stay in Uluwatu at a reasonable price while still getting an unforgettable experience, Pink Coco is 100% worth considering.
I came back because I loved it the first time—and I already know it won’t be my last stay.
